  • How do you take payment?
    CASH, *credit, check, *cashapp, *venmo *Processing fee applicable
  • How do you apply window films?
    The window films are pre cut or hand cut before installed. The films are formed to fit each individual window and then applied with a soap solution on the inside of the window.
  • How long do I have to wait to wind my windows down?
    Most places require 3-5 days for the films to cure. At WindowEffects, we take the extra time to heat the outside of your windows so you can wind your windows down the same day.
  • How long does the process take?
    All jobs vary depending on how many windows. Two fronts anywhere from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on skill level requried. Four door vehicles anywhere from 2 hours to 4 hours depending on the difficulty of the install and curvature of the windows. At the WindowEffects, we don't like to give exact times because our goal is to perfect the job and overdeliver on the best quality. Quality is more important than time.
  • Can we wait or do we have to drop off?
    For now it's easier to drop off and pick up. We don’t have a full waiting area as of now. We are building a 2700 square feet building in Angier that will service a full waiting room with offices.
  • How can I drop my car off after or before hours?
    We have a drop box for keys, security cameras, and great lightning around the building. Your car is very safe at our Raleigh location.
  • What is the darkest North Carolina Legal tint?
    Not all glass is clear. Factory tint is 70 percent. The darkest film you can get installed is 43 percent. When the 43 is combined with the 70 natural in the glass it will meter between 32-35 percent. This will PASS inspection.
  • Are my back windows allowed to be darker than the front two?
    Yes, but only on trucks and suvs. Car windows must have all windows no lower than 32 percent.
  • What is factory tint?
    Factory tint is made at the factory and its a smoked glass that is 18-20 percent on the back of trucks and suvs. If you have tint on your driver and passenger side windows it's from the dealership and not the factory.
